I’ve had my eye on Raam Dev’s Independent Publisher WordPress theme for a couple months. I’ve been wanting to code out a child theme for it that adds masonry style archive pages. However, as client projects have kept me busy, I’ve yet to get around to it. So, today I decided to go ahead and make the switch. If you’re viewing this in your feed reader, I invite you to click over and check things out. The theme looks great on mobile and desktop. It features a minimal, content-first layout inspired by Medium and other reader-focused sites.
Now that I’ve applied a fresh coat of paint, it’s high time I start posting again at more regular intervals. Like always, you can expect to see links to #webdev stuff, the occasional product review, and news on what I’ve been working on. Lately I’ve dabbled with the WordPress REST API, leveled up on my Bash scripting skills, and had my passion renewed for working with WordPress. I look forward to sharing my thoughts on these things in the days and weeks to come.
