With WordPress 5.0 and the new Gutenberg editor being released December 6, 2018, there’s plenty of discussion about it on the web. Below I’m linking to several articles, be sure to scroll down to the comments to see the discussion:
- Hacker News: WordPress 5.0 A Gutenberg FAQ – Back on Nov 29, Matt Mullenweg published a nice explainer from his perspective as CEO of Automattic.
- Hacker News: WordPress 5.0 “Bebo” – the 5.0 announcement post from WordPress.org generated more Hacker News discussion.
- ProductHunt: WordPress 5.0 – The ProductHunt discussion about WordPress 5.0 is one that interests me most. There you’ll find all manner of users. It’s the casual/novice WordPress users that I am most interested to hear from. As a developer, I’m always coming up with solutions to make WordPress work for me and my clients. Gutenberg is all about updating the editing interface for non-techie users, and ProductHunt is a great place to go to hear from those types.
