From time-to-time, I get curious to check and see what professional level tools are available for iPad. Specifically, I’m always interested to see how far things have come with regards to being able to write code on an iPad. The holy-grail for me would be an easy way to do web development, and I’ve yet to find a satisfactory solution for that. However, the most interesting new coding app to appear in my searches today is Codea.

While I was browsing the Codea site, I came across this forum post about App Store Games and Apps made with Codea. Then in this MacStories post, I read about Starsceptre. The game’s creator, Richard Morgan, says he primarily wrote the app during his daily commute, and it was his iPad and Codea that gave him the tools he needed to program on the move.
