In recent weeks I’ve discovered TypeRocket. It’s a WordPress coding framework that makes it easy to extend WordPress themes and plugins with your own custom UX, custom fields, and custom data structures.
I’ve already used it for two plugins I’ve coded in the past week, and I’ll be using it again for another project I’m starting today. It has quickly become one of the first things I reach for on my shelf of WordPress tools.
TypeRocket’s excellent documentation makes it easy to get started. Check out their example which shows how to create a custom post type with custom fields, meta boxes, and more in only 20 lines of code.
