Last night my wife and I signed up for a healthcare plan via the ACA Marketplace. Prior to that, our health insurance had been provided by a grandfathered plan. As the rates on our grandfathered plan have risen each year, it finally made sense for us to switch to a high-deductible plan with a Health Savings Account (HSA).
After we finished the process, we felt like bells and streamers should go off. Finally pulling the trigger on an Obama-care plan has been a several weeks long process of researching our options and estimating my income for 2019. Getting to the place where we felt confident about our income estimate as it pertains to premium tax breaks felt like a major accomplishment.
Now, on to some of my recent Links of Interest:

- If you’re looking for an alternative to DataTables, Tabulator is a full-featured JavaScript table library. Create interactive tables from any HTML Table, JavaScript Array, AJAX data source, or JSON.
- Apple has introduced a Veterans/Military Purchase Program that allows active military personnel and veterans to purchase Apple products at a 10% discount. Very cool.
- McFly is a replacement for your default

McFly’s suggestions are prioritized in real time with a small neural network.” - Hacker News: C.S. Lewis on the Reading of Old Books – This thread includes some fair-minded theological discussion. It caught me a bit by surprise to come upon it in my Hacker News feed.
Check out this fabulous table tennis shot. I agree that it has to be the best one of 2018:
